The Jordan Gaming Summit 2024 marked a significant milestone for the Jordan video gaming and Esports scene. The event adopted a distinctive format, kicking off in Umm Qais, a historic town in northern Jordan, and concluding in the southern port city of Aqaba. Spanning several days and encompassing multiple locations, the summit underscored Jordan’s commitment to innovation, youth empowerment, and regional inclusivity.
We actively engaged with the local community by involving them as both attendees and participants, as well as by outsourcing key logistical needs, such as catering, transportation, and commerce opportunities, to local providers. Across various locations, we collaborated with local artisans and service providers to create event materials, meals, and unique experiences that highlighted regional culture and heritage. We partnered with community organizations and local businesses to manage venues, provide food, handle logistics, and deliver interactive activities tailored to each area. Through these efforts, the event not only supported local economies but also promoted cultural exchange and positioned the host country as a leading destination for innovation and tourism.
Jordan Gaming Lab members will receive free transportation, which requires pre-registration and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, as well as discounted hotel rates in Aqaba.
This year, the summit focuses on Play to Learn Games, combining interactive gameplay with education to enhance learning. It will explore how play-based games can be integrated into education to improve understanding, retention, and application for learners of all ages.
